Mother Nature came through for the third day of the FREESKIER Apparel Test at Retallack Lodge. Waking up to a few new inches of fresh spring snow and a storm that had parked itself over the Selkirks, the crew chowed down on breakfast and headed for the hills to continue testing out new threads from 14 of the industry’s best brands with the help of Retallack’s two Bombardier snow cats. Between yesterday’s bluebird spring conditions and today’s more winter-like weather, our testers have been able to put 2019-2020 outerwear, midlayers and baselayers to the ultimate test.

With snow forecasted to continue through the end of the week, tomorrow is sure to bring even softer conditions and wetter weather, allowing for incredibly in-depth reviews, which will end up in the Buyer’s Guide this September. For an exclusive look at today’s testing grounds, scroll the photos below, and be on the lookout for more content from the second annual FREESKIER Apparel Test presented by Auclair Gloves.
