My mission this season is to finally master a trick that I’ve always wanted to perfect, the backflip.
This past summer I learned them at Camp of Champions with the coaching help of Matt Sterbenz. Sure, it was scary at first but after the first few they just felt natural. Now I’ve got to take them into the park and also the backcountry off of small 10 to 15 foot drops.
I’ve been practicing them on trampolines, diving boards and the on-snow practice at Camp of Champions makes me feel confident that I can nail them this season!
I’ve also been hitting the gym, putting a serious amount of miles on my road bike and cranking laps in the pool to ensure that I’m in the best shape I can be for the season!
