This past April, Breckenridge kept its 5 chair open until 5pm every Thursday, allowing the plethora of park kids who call Breck home to shred all day long. As part of the mountain's first annual Spring Fever, the late closing coincided with other springtime happy hour festivities including rail jams, BBQs and DJs.
To help celebrate Spring Fever, Breck invited filmmakers to submit a video of themselves and their friends shredding the Breck Park. The best video was set to win a 2011/2012 Epic Pass, good at Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Beaver Creek, Northstar, Heavenly and A-Basin.
After the videos were posted and the votes were tallied, Breck local Marshall LaCroix came out on top, with almost 300 votes.
"I entered the contest because I am going to be taking next year off from school to focus on my skiing, and this was a great way to earn a season's pass," says LaCroix. "Next season, I will be splitting my time between Breck and Northstar, which is another reason I was excited about the Epic Pass."
Congratulations to Marshall and thanks to everyone who entered. Check out the winning video below, and click here to see all the entries:
