West Lebanon, NH: The introduction of Marker’s revolutionary new freeskiing bindings, the Duke and Jester, has elite members of the freeskiing community taking note. In the past few months, Marker has signed elite freeskiing athletes Pep Fujas, Eric Pollard, and Andy Mahre to endorsement contracts. Each has agreed to endorse Marker through the 2008/2009 season, with the Duke and Jester their bindings of choice.
“When I first saw the Duke, I thought; it’s about time somebody made a sturdy randonee binding,†quotes Pep Fujas.
Pep, Andy, and Eric are significant additions to a Marker team that already includes big mountain icon Shane McConkey, freeskiing pioneer Glen Plake, and X Games podium skier Colby James West. “It’s exciting to see big names in freeskiing recognizing our product efforts, and we’re thrilled that Marker is the binding they are choosing to help them pursue their ever-progressing on-mountain goals,†said Marker USA’s EVP Greg Grip.
Marker is committed to supporting all three athletes’ efforts, including sponsorship of Nimbus Independent Films’ project Hunting Yeti. The project is the follow-up to the widely-successful Idea, which debuted in the fall of 2007. Pep, Andy and Eric have been the driving creative force in this film series.
