After extensive testing and quality procedures, Marker has decided to conduct a voluntary recall of 2017-18 models of the Kingpin 10 and 13 tech binding for the possible breakage of steel pins in the toe pieces. Marker has been known for its innovation and safety standards for more than six decades, which is why the company has decided to issue this recall–even if the test results showed the problem only affects very few of the bindings.

The problem highlighted in the testing is the breakage of the steel pins, which may lead to lower release forces and create a potential fall hazard. Toes of the affected bindings will be replaced at no cost to the customer and retailers have been requested to stop sales of the recalled bindings.

If you think you may own a pair of these bindings contact your local Marker Authorized Retailer. Not sure who your local retailer is? Contact the national Marker distributor for a list of retailers. Click here for more information about the recent recall.
