The 2025 ski season has been long and fruitful in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains, but all good things must come to an end. Mammoth Mountain has announced that June 15 will be the last day of operations.

While it’s sad but true, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the next two weeks of skiing. Lifts will be running from 7:30 AM until 1:00 PM, and Open Snow is calling for plenty of sunshine with mixed showers for the first part of June. This will keep the snow from melting out too quickly, and should ensure that turns are all-time until the very end.

If you’re able to make it to the resort for closing day, you’ll be in for a good one. FREE donuts and coffee will be available at the McCoy Station starting at 7:30 AM. With 48 runs, three parks and 21 groomers still firing, Mammoth has shown that they truly are the rulers of Second Season. Get it while you can!
