Great news everyone, the 09/10 season is officially here. Loveland will be the first ski area in North America to start its lifts for the season.
Thanks to some decent snowfall and over two weeks of snow-making, Loveland is having its earliest opening day in 40 years.
Chair 1 will be running at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning for skiers to test out their latest gear and see just how out of shape they are. Conditions aren’t exactly ‘ideal’ but all will welcome the 18-inch base; for God sakes it’s ski season!
October 7 will be A-Basin’s earliest opening day in 64 years. The Exhibition lift will power up at 9 a.m. Expect to ski High Noon and if you feel like it, try out the High Divide park. With one run and an 18-inch base both resorts will surely please all snow-depraved skiers.
Make sure to follow us tomorrow @freeskier and on Facebook here for all of the latest pictures and videos on the hill.
