We held a contest on February 29th—Leap Day—giving away a mint pair of Salomon Twenty-Twelve skis. The winner was UK's own Lewis Harper, and 18-year-old from Essex. Even though he said it was the "best email he'd ever got," we still managed to grab a few questions with him.

FREESKIER: HOW OLD ARE YA, WHAT'S YOUR HOMETOWN, ETC.

Lewis Harper: I'm 18 years old, from Brentwood, Essex, UK and I've been skiing for about 15 years.

YOU'RE FROM ENGLAND, SO WHERE DO YOU SKI?

I Normally ski in Europe—France, Switzerland, etc.—but I've also tried out skiing in Glencoe, Scotland. It was definitely an experience!

IF YOU COULD COME AND SKI IN THE US, WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO FIRST?

I'd love to ski Aspen/Snowmass or Squaw Valley, just because of the freeride scenes there.

WHAT DID YOU THINK THE CHANCES OF YOU WINNING THE CONTEST WERE? AND HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU ENTER?

I never thought I'd win the competition, despite entering a damn few times!

WHAT ARE THESE TWENTY-TWELVES GOING TO REPLACE THAT YOU'RE CURRENTLY ON?

These skis will replace my 2010 Salomon Suspects, getting a bit worn on the edges!

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE PRO RIGHT NOW AND WHY?

Probably Bobby Brown, he's one of the best in the world right now and he seems like a genuine guy.
