Kings & Queens of Corbet’s is Canceled for 2024

Yesterday, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort made the tough decision to cancel Kings & Queens of Corbet’s 2024.

Due to a weak snowpack and safety conditions, the resort decided to pull the plug. With nearly enough snow to open, it’s bad timing for one of our favorite events.

Veronica Paulsen, 2020 Queen of Corbet’s, stated, “Corbet’s is skiing great, but conditions are not there to do what we want to do. As athletes, we all want to show off our best skiing, and right now the conditions are not safe enough for us to put on the show we usually do. I’ve trained all year for this, and now I have another year to keep training and dreaming about my run.”

While the skiing community is sad to miss one of our favorite hucking events, the safety of athletes should always reign supreme. Hats off to Jackson for making a difficult but commendable decision. Sometimes conditions don’t line up, and there’s not much we can do to change it.

Counting down the days til 2025!
