Keystone just provided us with a video from the A51 opening weekend.
Home to the annual Freeskier park test, Keystone Mountain and A51 once again prove why they are our destination of choice when it comes to shredding park, even on opening day.
With rail lines, a jump and creative jibs and jumps galore, Keystone opened to the masses today. The River Run gondola was schlepping ready-to-shred folks all day long and everyone was greeted with friendly smiles and stoke from ski patrol, lift ops, locals and visitors alike. Hospitality was a theme… I’m picking up my ticket: “Would you like a granola bar?” I’m walking to the gondola: “Would you like fresh coffee or hot cocoa?” Um… yes and yes! Oh, and don’t forget the blue skies and 50-degree weather to add the cherry to the top.
Friends and pros were on scene, among them Nate Abbott, Mike Hornbeck, Keri Herman, Ben Moxham and Banks Gilberti. Not a bad crew to shred with all day long. Nate was snapping pics, the kids were shralping rails and laps were made from morning to night.
Oh! And if you think the shred at Keystone looks like a good time, you’d better enter the contest to win a day to ski A51 with Keystone team rider Mike Clarke. Because if there’s anything I like more than riding Keystone, it’s riding Keystone with Mike Clarke. Sign up here: [https://www.snow.com/a51/mike.aspx]
Thanks to Keystone for all the hospitality; be sure to check out their set-ups this weekend!
