What could be better than spending a day skiing spring bumps and cruisers with legends Jonny Moseley and Donny Pelletier? Skiing with them while raising money and awareness for a great cause. And that’s exactly what ski and snowboard enthusiasts get to do this spring in support of multiple sclerosis (MS), at the 2025 Ski for MS Vertical Challenge held in Vail, CO and Palisades Tahoe, CA.
Hosted by legendary Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley and Maine’s finest athlete and “best skier on the mountain” Donny Pelletier, the SKI for MS events bring together participants from all ages and abilities for a full day of skiing, après, prizes and fun–all with the goal of raising awareness and money for MS and helping to transform the lives of families living with the disease.
Last weekend, under bluebird skies and warm weather, Ski for MS hosted its Vail stop, and it was a huge success. The on-snow action wrapped-up with an après party at the base of Vail mountain at the Express Lift bar, featuring live music, good vibes and prizes for Vertical Challenge winners, top fundraisers and more. Overall, the Vail event raised more than $125,000 and brought together a massive community of skiers supporting an amazing cause.

On Saturday, March 15, Jonny, Donny and the Ski for MS crew will be in Palisades Tahoe, CA hosting another event, and you can be a part of the action! Not only will you get to ski and après with two icons of the sport, but you’ll be supporting a great cause.
To participate, simply register for the event here, either as an individual or with your friends by creating a team, and you’ll be ready to rip. Show up to Palisades Tahoe on Saturday ready to log as many vertical feet as you can! You’ll join the crew in on- mountain activities, fundraising with a chance to win prizes and, as customary for any good day on the hill, a proper aprés ski celebration.
100 percent of SKI for MS proceeds directly support families living with MS through Can Do MS, a national nonprofit that provides education, resources and support for people with MS and their support partners. The nonprofit was founded in 1984 by former Olympic bronze medalist Jimmie Heuga, who was diagnosed with MS when he was 26. The organization has pioneered new standards of care for MS, changing the lives of countless Multiple Sclerosis patients and families for the better. Now it’s your turn to be a part of history and have a good time doing it.
