Join the Ski Utah Yeti in his Mission to Support the Japan Relief Fund

Earlier this week, Ski Utah announced plans to support the Japan Relief Fund. Hoping to get you ski-fans involved, they've created a little game, and here's how it works:

Simply head on over the the Ski Utah Yeti's Facebook page, and jot down your guesstimate of the total season snowfall at Alta. Whatever that number ends up being, Ski Utah will donate that exact amount to the Japan Relief Fund. i.e. If on May 1, the season total stood at 700", Ski Utah would donate $700.

If that wasn't cool enough already, both Rossignol and Eider have now jumped into the mix, pledging to match Ski Utah's donation. So now, that $700 is bumped up to a smooth $2,100. Nice!

Big kudos go out to the companies involved in this effort. And for those of you reading, don't pass up this opportunity to be a part of something special.

As of this morning, Alta reports 664" on the year. The ski area averages 547 inches per season, but in the winter of 1981-82, they recorded a whopping 748 inches. The forecast calls for more snow, so let's hope for a big finish.

Head on over to the Yeti's Facebook page, and make your guess!
