DENVER, CO – Saturday Oct. 6th Jiberish Clothing had their 2007/2008 Launch Party and Fashion Show at Club DC-10 in Denver’s SOCO District. Joining co-founders Gabe Anderson, Dave Boger, and Pete Drago were Jiberish’s Family riders Tom Wallisch, Mike Clarke, Ian Cosco, John Spriggs, and Jiberish Designer Blake Kimmel along with hundreds of friends, family, and fans. It was a very big night by all accounts from the fashion show to the party that ensued.
Just wrapping up production on their 2007/2008 cut-and-sew collection, Saturday was a celebratory evening for everyone involved with Jiberish. “We worked very hard on this year’s collection and to see it here tonight is very satisfying”, Jiberish’s Dave Boger. “Our contingency of designers came through in a big way this year and it is very evident by the pieces that we are producing right now.”
DJ SD laid down the vibe as beverages were consumed and more and more people arrived. Then the lights dropped and the stage lit up and everyone’s attention was directed to the runway. The crowd was rowdy and the music got louder as, one by one, each piece was revealed. Where Jiberish’s athletes lacked in runway modeling experience, they more than made up for with confidence, swagger, and comedic impulse. The crowd loved them as they strutted the runway doing everything from backflips to their Zoolander impersonations. It was a perfect mix as they shared the spotlight with the beautiful females modeling the clothing from Londyn’s, an upscale women’s boutique in Boulder, CO. Jiberish showed 16 of their pieces from this fall’s lineup and what was shown was incredible. The lineup includes hoodies, jackets, track tops, rugbys, and tees. After the show it was time for a little more celebration, and in what is becoming signature Jiberish tradition, things escalated quickly. The party headed back to Gabe’s place and needless to say his neighbors probably weren’t as stoked as we were given the time things wrapped up.
