Jackson Hole’s Luke Gentry Finds Creative Way to Keep Ski Season Alive

Wyatt and Luke Gentry are two rising stars in today’s freeride world. The Jackson Hole-based brothers have been scoring big lines in the Teton’s since they were groms, and they’re no stranger to creative descents. This one is a little bit more unique than the resort, however.

On a family trip to Dubois, Wyoming, inspiration struck. “The plan for the trip was to go stay for a couple of days during the off-season and explore somewhere we haven’t spent a lot of time,” Luke told FREESKIER. “We were hoping to go snowmobiling and skiing on Togwotee Pass, but on our first day I blew up my snowmobile. So we went hiking in the desert around Dubois and found some cool red rock spine-looking terrain, and I thought it would be fun to try and ski down them.”

Try he did. Check out the video below and who knows, maybe it’ll inspire you to extend your ski season in ways you never imagined.
