Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) announces the launch of the new Grand Pass for winter of 2010-2011. The August price on a Grand Pass delivers an unrestricted Jackson Hole experience at a 25% discount over last year, a rate not seen since the 1980′s. JHMR is also introducing Youth and Student Grand Passes that provide unrestricted access the next generation of skiers and riders regardless of whether their parents are passholders.
The Adult Grand Pass offers unlimited skiing over the entire 128 day season for $1255. The new Youth Grand Pass provides the same access for kids aged 6-14 for just $149. Finally, the Student Grand Pass, for ages 15-18, offers unrestricted mountain access for only $275. All passes include free START bus access to and from the town of Jackson.
JHMR President Jerry Blann states: “Restructuring our season pass pricing was the right thing to do. We understand that value and the freedom to ski anytime are the highest priorities for our guests. The Grand Pass represents our biggest commitment ever to making unlimited skiing on this mountain as accessible as possible. This is a serious value proposition-we have not seen prices this low in well over two decades, prior to $110 million in improvements, including the new Tram, the Bridger Gondola, and many other amenities.â€
New this year are Peak Packs which include options for 10 days, 20 days or weekend skiing only, and will see moderate price increases over last year. The August price for the 10 Pack is $595, the 20 Pack is $1015 and the Weekend Pack is offered at $789.
JHMR Chief Marketing Officer Chip Carey adds: “With the Grand Pass you can ski for as little as $10 a day. A big opportunity this year is for 20 Day and Weekend guests to experience the benefits of unlimited skiing by upgrading to a Grand Pass for a few hundred dollars, but at greatly reduced daily rates. As a consequence of being unrestricted, the Grand Pass is a totally different experience-it is Jackson Hole citizenship, with all of the accompanying benefits. Grand passholders need never miss a lap on a powder morning, and will often find themselves coming out to catch the last few Trams of the day. Rather than worrying about using up days, passholders are rewarded for skiing more often. The Grand Pass is a whole new way to experience the mountain; the more you use it the cheaper it is-and always free from restrictions.â€
