The International Freeski Film Festival announced its 2012 ski film selections this week. 35+ films and web video series have been nominated in categories including Professional, Web/New Media and Amateur. The iF3 tour is now bigger than ever, encompassing four cities around the globe: La Parva, Chile; Montreal, Canada; Annecy, France and Innsbruck, Austria. With a lengthy roster of films and a lineup of screenings, parties, concerts, art exhibits, autograph sessions and more, iF3 2012 is not to be missed.

The 2012 tour kicked off on August 3 with iF3 La Parva, hosted in Santiago de Chile. iF3 La Parva is the tour’s newest installment. The Nike iF3 takes place in Montreal September 12-16. From there, the tour continues to Annecy, France (September 28-30) and onward to Innsbruck Austria (October 5-6). The Innsbruck stop is also new to the tour for 2012.

The 2012 Nike iF3 in Montreal is primed to be spectacular. Our staff will be on hand to enjoy five days of action in Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles. The film screenings this year will be hosted at the historic Monument National Theatre, situated across from the new iF3 Outdoor Village in Montreal’s “Peace Park.” The park will showcase a handful of interactive activities, in addition to The North Face Outdoor Movie Screening. New this year, iF3 will host a film screening showcasing freeskiing females, which will be followed up by a girl-specific autograph session.

While Annecy will once again play host to a rocking affair, Innsbruck will be spicing things up by offering an airbag session as part of the festivities. For more information on all of the tour stops and their accompanying events, visit www.if3.co.
