Adjusting to college life is difficult as I just graduated high school last May. I went to a ski academy in Maine for 4 years and had the time of my life learning the fundamentals of skiing and how to become a good competitor . I moved to Salt Lake City last month to continue my freeskiing pursuits . I have decided to make Brighton and Park City my new home mountains. My goals for this winter are complex but I will list a few and how I intend to get there.
– I wish to have switch nines and rodeo 9’s by mid January
– Compete in the NAO( if it happens again) and compare how I fare against some of the best in the game.
– Compete in the Big Bear and Aspen Open and hopefully walk away with a result I can be proud of.
– To style out my rail tricks to the best of my ability
– Overall my main mission in terms of competition is to become a a threat in the slope-style circuit by the end of the 2009 season.
Lastly, I have lived on the ice (east) coast my entire life, until now.
It’s time to shred as much powder as I can and bring some “park” tricks to the back country , I want to become a more “well-rounded skier”
All of this I do for me, skiing is a place where I feel the most like myself therefore all of my goals feel like a possibility within my grasp .
