Hot Laps at Alta and Palisades Tahoe Never get old, and These Photos Prove it

It’s always good to keep your eyes on the future, but sometimes a look to the past is just what the doctor ordered. FREESKIER recently got our hands on a few selects from two of our favorite ski resorts in the world: Alta Ski Area and Palisades Tahoe. Taken between 1970 and the mid 1990s, these photos are a reminder of the long-lasting infatuation with skiing that’s existed for decades.

The smiles, the pow, the air, the vibrant neon and those skinny skis; it’s exactly what we’re all after any time we step onto the hill. (Seriously, 210 cm skis are on the comeback. Just watch.) As we step into summer, let these blasts from the past fuel your inspiration for next winter. We know we’re already daydreaming about that next pow turn.
