Heritage brand Bollé infuses over 130 years of innovation into its goggles and helmets

Bollé eyewear and protective gear are a mainstay in the ski community and it’s been that way for over 130 years. Since 1888, the French brand has been a pioneer in goggle and lens technology, utilizing its home just a few hours from the stunning Alps as the ideal testing ground for innovative protection. With a history of manufacturing safety glasses, performance eyewear and snow goggles, the brand has stayed relevant—and maintained its status as a leader in the industry—by matching its high-quality design with style, to boot. Below, we’ve outlined a few of our favorite pieces from Bollé’s latest lineup of equipment, including a men’s and women’s goggle, as well as a MIPS-certified helmet to keep your noggin safe out in the mountains.

Nevada Goggle

We’ll say it, we think the Nevada is Bollé’s sleekest, sexiest goggle it has ever put on the market. Lucky you, eh? The rimless frame and monstrous cylindrical lens not only enhance your looks but provide an astonishing range of vision, something all skiers covet. Bollé also offers the Nevada with its photochromic Phantom lens, which boasts a Speedy Gonzales-esque transition time of 30 seconds from dark to light, or vice versa, regardless of outside temperature. Skeptics of photochromic lenses will be converted into believers after experiencing the Phantom difference.

Northstar Goggle

With futuristic styling, a unisex fit and photochromic Phantom lenses, the Northstar is a goggle worthy of the next generation. Here, the lenses are treated to ensure optical clarity down to the molecular level while also resisting dust, dirt and the inevitable scratches that come with a season out on in the mountains. Flow Tech venting prevents foggy lenses by promoting airflow through the goggle lens and frame, further jumpstarting this goggle into stratosphere.

Instinct MIPS Helmet

Bollé’s Instinct MIPS helmet relies on the brand’s own proprietary EPS build, dubbed Avid, featuring vent channels that are carved out of the interior EPS to provide airflow and decrease weight. Bollé has also incorporated a MIPS system to further enhance the helmet’s protective qualities by helping to disperse dangerous rotational or oblique strikes to the head. The result is a noodle guard that’s light, comfortable and doesn’t skimp on safety.
