Tried and tested by the pros—like Cody Townsend, Alexi Godbout, Stan Rey and Kalen Thorien—the QST series skis from Salomon are some of the most capable all-mountain planks on the market. This week, we’re teaming up with Salomon to give one winner the chance to take home the QST 106 or QST Stella 106—the ski of his or her choice. Updated for 2020, both models boast a new sidecut shape that promotes turn initiation and added cork in the tip and tail to dampen the shakes while you’re plowing down the mountain. Skiers who roam in and out of bounds, no matter the conditions, here’s your chance to win the do-it-all ski of your dreams.

Here’s your chance to win Salomon QST 106 or Stella 106 skis

Salomon QST 106

The beloved QST 106 got just a hint better over the past year thanks to a new shape geared for better turn initiation and the addition of cork in the tip and tail to dampen out the ride and make bone-rattling descents a thing of the past. The Salomon QST 106 2020 still features a light poplar wood core and a carbon fiber and basalt blend from tip to tail to aid in power and stability. For reference, Cody Townsend relied heavily on these planks for his web series, The FIFTY, so they’ll obviously turn you into a badass skier the moment you click into them.

FREESKIER tester thoughts:

“Salomon nails it with the QST series and the 106 is the perfect ski for anything you’d ever want to ride. Carves beautifully, can straight line a runout like nobody’s business and stays playful.”

Salomon QST Stella 106

Salomon’s QST series, of which the Salomon QST Stella 106 2020 is the Queen, was revamped for 2020 and is the ultimate in freeride royalty. The guts of the ski feature lightweight poplar wood, titanium, a flax laminate underfoot and tip-to-tail carbon fiber basalt, that add up to a powerful punch without extra weight. Salomon also incorporated cork in the tip and tail to really dampen out the ride and boost stability even further. If you want to charge, then Stella has your back.

FREESKIER tester thoughts: “After riding these sticks downhill, all my skepticism with the weight on the up fizzled away into the beautiful field of corn we harvested.”
