HEAD is pleased to announce that Grete Eliassen is the newest member of the HEAD International Freeride Team. Grete currently lives in Utah attending The University of Utah while pursuing a career as the top Freeride woman in the world. Her most notable victories include two Winter X-Games Gold Medals. Recent achievements from last season consist of 1st Place at the “If Ullr was a Girl” Contest, 1st Place at the US Open Halfpipe, 1st Place at the European Open Halfpipe, 1st Place Nippon Open Halfpipe, “Powder Magazine’s” “2007 Best Female Video Award”, “Skiing Magazine’s” “Slaying it Award” and 2nd Place in the Winter X-Games.
Along with competing on the International Freeride Team, Grete will also play an active role on the HEAD Women’s Product Development Team. The HEAD Women’s Team represents a compliment of cultures, careers, and skiing styles. They fully represent women skiers throughout the world. Head’s philosophy embodies the fact that every woman is different and merits a product line that reflects her passion and her confidence, and allows her to perform better and have more fun on the mountain. The HEAD women’s team develops ski gear with the features and designs women want, resulting in products that combine innovation, creativity and performance-enhancing features.
