The GoPro Mountain Games are less than two days away! This four-day event kicks off on Thursday, June 6, and concludes on Sunday, June 9, featuring 50 unique events across 11 different adventure sport disciplines. From mountain biking and trail running to freestyle slacklining and whitewater rafting, the Go-Pro Mountain Games truly have something for everyone, with events for both beginners and pros. For the fierce competitors, there will be a prize purse of $140,000 split amongst various events as well as tons of non-cash prizes to be won. It’s also not too late to register, so if you’re on the fence about competing, consider this your sign to do so!
Besides all the sporting events, which are free to spectate, we recommend checking out the Mountain House Gear Town for your favorite brands and concessions and The Hangout at Golden Peak for amazing food trucks and live music all day long. If art is your thing, don’t forget to make a stop by The Co-Lab: A Creator Stage which will feature workshops and talks from an amazing selection of content creators from across the world wide web all weekend long.
The weekend activites continue to deliver on Saturday night with a free showing of TGR’s “The Hypocrite” and on Sunday night don’t miss a free showing of Level 1’s “Full Circle” followed by a chat with Trevor Kennison, himself. If tunes are more your speed, snag your tickets to the Mountains of Music extravaganza featuring performances by Dispatch, Xavier Rudd, Lotus, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and more.
