Wakayama Gloves, by Hestra
$140 — available in four colors
For more than 80 years, Sweden-based Hestra has does nothing besides make gloves. Naturally, they’re pretty damn good at what they do and that’s quite evident in the Wakayama. Slip your hand inside of this glove and your mind will conjure thoughts of perfect silk bedding, 10-week-old golden retriever puppies, Swedish massages and entrancing harp music. An über-warm wool terry liner is to thank. Meanwhile, a supple yet durable impregnated cowhide exterior ensures you’ll sport these gloves for years to come. An item of note: I’ve been sporting the Wakayama when the temps are warm, mild or cold, but not frigid. When the mercury drops real’ low, I opt for the Army Leather GORE Mitt ($175) paired with Merino Wool Active Liner ($30); the liner-and-mitt pairing provides toasty warmth even in the harshest conditions.
