Volkl Blaze 106
The flagship Blaze 106 has an ample 106-mm waist paired with Völkl’s 3D Radius sidecut technology—a unique setup that offers a longer radii at the tip and tail and a tighter shape in the midbody, allowing the skier to switch from long arcs to short turns. A hybrid wood core has been engineered for significant weight savings, giving the ski great maneuverability and quickness while maintaining Völkl’s signature, race-inspired edge hold. In the Suspension Tip design, the wood core follows the shape of the tip, allowing a smooth, catch-free ride. Under the binding, a Titanal power plate provides some oomph and secure binding screw retention. Whether dropping in from the first chair or after a quick skin, skiers who don’t like to follow the tracks of others will have a new best friend with the Blaze.
Volkl Blaze 106 W
The Blaze 106 W is a light, agile powder ski that is constructed with maneuverability in-mind. The thin Titanal Binding Platform underfoot harnesses power with little effort, creating an incredibly enjoyable and dynamic turning experience. In narrow terrain and/or rough conditions, this ski’s reaction time is impressive, especially for a powder-width plank. The full-length Hybrid Multilayer woodcore surely targets short-turn-oriented skiers, but the sidecut’s three-radius technology adapts to every riding style. In addition to ripping around the resort, the Blaze 106 W is also a fully capable freeride-touring ski because of its lightweight, yet powerful nature. With the addition of the Suspension Tip, a rubbery, shock-absorbing material in the tip and tail edges, the Blaze 106 W rides high through pow, crud and wind buffed snow with playful power.
Dalbello Krypton 130 ID T.I.
The new Krypton 130 T.I. ID takes the top of the line Krypton architecture and adds, for the first time, GripWalk soles for boot-packing and traction in rough terrain along with Tech Inserts that give the skier the option of clicking into pin-tech bindings, such as Marker’s Duke PT, for a short hike. The shell and cuff are made of the same PU material found in Dalbello’s racing boots, helping them offer better power transmission and stability than other tech-fitted boots. Thanks to the design help of pro athletes like Colter Hinchliffe, these boots require no compromise while skiing down along with more than enough range of motion for a short skin going up.
Dalbello Chakra Elevate 115 T.I.
No more compromises for the skier who wants to take command all over the mountain while still taking advantage of solid climbing performance on the occasional touring lap. The Chakra Elevate 115 is the highest performing freeride boot in the Dalbello line. Sometimes getting to the goods involves uphill travel, so we added tech inserts and GripWalk soles for easy boot packing or skinning. On the way back down the legendary freeride performance of Dalbello’s Krytpon architecture takes over and makes the downhill part of the ride the best it can be.
