Do you have what it takes to join the ranks of skiing's elite? The Gatorade Free Flow Tour is back for the second straight season, and once again, the grand prize is a chance to make your professional contest debut at the following season’s Winter Dew Tour.
The first events kick off this weekend at Vail and Mountain High, and registration is almost at capacity. So don't blow your chance to make it big, my friends, and register before time runs out.
The first round of Champions crushed it this year, with half the freeskiers advancing to the remaining stops of the Winter Dew Tour. Perhaps the most notable of the bunch is 15 year old Torin Yater-Wallace, who placed 5th in the finals for Freeski Superpipe at Breckenridge.
Torin has some advice for all you future contestants too. He remarked, “if you don’t make finals this year, keep doing the tour next year and try to make finals because this competition is one of the best competitions for amateur skiers and snowboarders to get known and make a name for themselves that has ever been around.” So there you have it, this event is fully endorsed by the young man who is on the fast track to stardom.
Finally, for you youngsters out there looking to gain valuable contest experience, be sure to check out the Junior Jam contests for 13 and unders at all GFFT stops.
