The stoke was at an all-time high for the fourth day of the annual FREESKIER Ski Test due in large part to the 13-plus inches of beautiful, fluffy fresh waiting for us at the top of Aspen Mountain. After a full day of plundering pow on next year’s skis, the hype continued late into the evening at one of Aspen’s most notorious nightclubs, Bootsy Bellows.
To ring in the final day of ski testing–and celebrate the most epic ski day of the week, so far–FREESKIER and Dragon hosted the entire 50-plus person Ski Test crew, along with the entire town of Aspen, for FREESKIER Fyrepalooza, starting at 10 p.m. local time. It went off without a hitch. The beer was flowing like wine–as it always does in Aspen–and the beats were bumping thanks to FREESKIER’s own DJ Hawt Dogg and Berkel Beats bringing the heat. The people were showered with Dragon swag, including goggles, sunglasses and apparel, and the party raged well into the wee hours of the morning.
Tomorrow marks the final day of the 2019 FREESKIER Ski Test and although we’re sad to see the week end, our minds are absolutely blown by the amount of snow we received to put nearly 300 pairs of next year’s skis to the ultimate test. It was the perfect way to evaluate the best skis of 2019-20, which will appear in our Buyer’s Guide dropping in September.
