Friendly Skies: Virgin America

Friendly Skies: Virgin America

Attention Boston…

Virgin America is now offering non-stop flights from Boston to San Francisco and Los Angeles. If you’re flying to either of those destinations you must take Virgin.

They’ve gone out of their way to make the flying experience as pleasurable as possible. The seat-back entertainment system they’ve installed is (probably) the best in the business, has on-demand access to movies, games, satellite television and radio, food ordering and best of all… In-flight chat with other passengers. Yep, sign me up.

If that wasn’t good enough, they’ve teamed up with Recaro (the famed driving seat company) to engineer an amazing seat for your big fat American ass. It is lower to the ground, more comfortable, leather, has a 110 outlet so you can power your laptop or any other approved electronic device, USB charging and best of all… In flight internet.

Boston.com has a great interactive graphic of the seats and entertainment system they’re using. Go give it a look.

Let’s hope these guys start doing flights to Denver and Salt Lake City! I’d much rather cruise in style in one of these than some old and dingy United POS. Their idea of seat-back entertainment is a Sky Mall and air sickness bag… Which you’re probably charged for.
