Freeskier’s Top 10 Everyday Kühl Garments of 2025

Kühl has distinguished itself in the outdoor industry by creating technically proficient garments that have a distinct and minimalist feel with a classy color palette that consists primarily of muted earth tones. This combination has earned them a passionate consumer base who swear by their high level of craftsmanship and stylish look. If you find yourself in a mountain town or somewhere adjacent, keep an eye out for their crest featuring a snow-capped peak on a bluebird day. Like many others who have a deep love for the mountains, we at FREESKIER magazine frequently can be seen in Kühl garments. Here is a list of some of our favorites this season.

Women’s Prima Flight Vest

MSRP – $159

As temperatures start to dip, a midweight vest is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. The Prima Flight protects against light weather with Kühl’s Mikro Air nylon taffeta, a water-resistant fabric, around the shoulders and chest. A soft Italian fleece keeps you cozy all over, and the removable fleece hood and zippered hand pockets add extra warmth when needed.

Rydr Pant Lite

MSRP – $99

Kühl’s Rydr pant has been in production since 1996 with an emphasis on rugged durability and the slight use of spandex for comfort. This year, Kühl is taking the success of their staple pant and making it 30% lighter. The Rydr Pant Lite utilizes a midweight EuroLux fabric comprised of a soft cotton blend and spandex for stretch, creating a pant that can be dressed up or down while feeling soft and unobtrusive on the leg.

Men’s ONE Shirt-Jac

MSRP – $149

When the weather is in shoulder season, it’s usually too chilly for just a shirt but not quite cold enough to make a full jacket necessary. That’s where Kühl’s ONE Shirt-Jac comes into strategic play. A water and wind-resistant exterior paired with breathable insulation makes this the do-it-all top that keeps you warm and dry when working out in the elements while simultaneously venting excess body heat through the underarm knit panels.

Hygge 1/2 Zip

MSRP – $119

Who said fashion and function can’t exist in the same sweater? Kuhl threw that notion right out the window with the Women’s Hygge 1/2 Zip. Whether you’re headed up to the mountain, out to dinner or just running errands this winter, the Hygge ½ Zip is made of delectably soft mélange sherpa fleece for a cozy, warm feel every wear.

Spyfire Jacket

MSRP – $259

Down is one of the best ways to layer in the winter but when working with sharp objects like skis and poles, down can feel a little fragile. Kuhl has addressed this problem in the Spyfire Jacket by using a lightweight yet durable fabric that boasts high tear strength. Down can also get bulky, but not with the Spyfire.

The Flight Suit

MSRP – $175

This isn’t your childhood holiday onesie. The men’s Flight Suit from Kuhl and comes packed with functional features like zippered hand, chest and thigh pockets and a five-panel hood to lock out the elements. Whether you’re just running out to the mailbox, taking a self-care day at home or headed to the resort on the coldest day of the year, the Flight Suit is designed to keep you warm and cozy.

Resistor Chino

MSRP – $129

Kuhl considers the Resistor Chino Pant one of their most versatile pant offerings for the guys who like to get things done in comfort and style. Soft as cotton with a hell of a lot more durability, the Resistor offers ridiculous stretch with impressive rebound, so you never get that saggy butt look

Deceptr Pant

MSRP – $99

No misleading here, Kuhl’s Deceptr pant is designed to transition from the office to the trails seamlessly. A lightweight and durable fabric makes the Deceptr pant feel like you’re wearing practically nothing and the impressive stretch and articulated knees never hold you back from making big moves—at work and in the mountains.

Trekr Straight

MSRP – $109

Function tends to take a backseat in women’s pants for the sake of style but that’s not the case with Kuhl’s Trekr Straight pant. Equipped with four secure pockets, there’s plenty of space to stash your phone and snacks at the crag and a UPF 50+ rating negates the need to slather on greasy sunscreen.

Escape Duffle

MSRP – $299

When the weather is in shoulder season, it’s usually too chilly for just a shirt but not quite cold enough to make a full jacket necessary. That’s where Kühl’s ONE Shirt-Jac comes into strategic play. A water and wind-resistant exterior paired with breathable insulation makes this the do-it-all top that keeps you warm and dry when working out in the elements while simultaneously venting excess body heat through the underarm knit panels.
