FREESKIER takes on Jackson Hole’s “GoPro Steep and Deep Camp”

This week, in collaboration with GoPro, our favorite Wyoming-based resort is pleased to present the 2015 edition of its annual “Steep and Deep Camp.” Top notch skiers from around the globe will explore the incredibly steep and deep terrain around JHMR while receiving instruction from expert coaches. Participants (myself included) will gain slope and terrain education as well as steep skiing etiquette, all while documenting their (our) experiences via GoPro.

After logging hours of footage, campers will review and edit clips alongside Jackson Hole local, professional skier and action sports POV icon Andrew Whiteford.

The camp kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, January 14 and runs through Saturday, January 17. I’ll join the likes of aspiring POV film professionals and passionate rippers as they take their talents to the extreme landscape at Jackson Hole in search of the perfect shot. Sounds like a party, right?

This trip marks my first of hopefully many adventures to JHMR. I’m sure it’s a bucket list item for many of you, so I’ll be doing my darndest to keep the updates and beta coming your way.

To follow along with JHMR and GoPro’s Steep and Deep Camp, be sure to follow FREESKIER on Instagram and Twitter, @Thach_Dog (Instagram) and @Thach_Cat (Twitter) as well as Jackson Hole on Instagram and Twitter.
