Copper Mountain will be home to Freeskier Magazine and its ski test for the next week. All week long, industry ski testers, company reps and Freeskier staff will be tearing the mountain apart on quiver upon quiver of 2009/2010 skis. The Freeskier ski test, dubbed “Freeskier Ski Fest” is just that. Today was a sunny and warm day, perfect for testing a multitude of all-mountain skis.
As the temperature climbed and the day grew later, test forms upon test forms piled up as our testers — who include Chris Tatsuno, Tyson Bolduc, Michael Olenick, Steele Spence and Henrik Lampert to name a few — ripped through skis all day. Groomers, small jibs, trees and a couple hikes were the order of the day, with reps and testers taking small breaks throughout the day to get their shine on and enjoy hearty sandwiches from Chubbs at Copper. Our fingers are crossed for some snow that is on the horizon, as we’ve got skis on skis to rifle through this whole week.
Be on the lookout for more updates and video from the Freeskier Ski Fest at Copper Mountain.
