Freeskier / 4FRNT week is going on right now here at Camp of Champions! We’ve got the entire 4FRNT team on the glacier, throwing down on jumps and coaching skiing’s next batch if superstars. This week is jam packed with activities on and off the hill including water ramping, private night shoots on the glacier, paintball and to top it all off the session closing party this Friday night at Garfinkels in the village.
Unless, you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Camp of Champions each year steps up their game on the glacier, adding new features to their already gigantic park. This season, they’ve added something which is a first at Whistler, the bag jump.
Not quite ready to throw your rodeo 900 on the big jump lane? Still working on the rotation? Not quite ready to put your face into the snow? The bag jump allows campers to test out their moves in a safe and controlled environment.
Wow.
Campers from all over the world make their way to Whistler each summer with hopes of bringing their game to new levels and working tirelessly with coaches each day on the glacier. With the direction from the 4FRNT team and CoC coaches the progress these kids are making is astounding.
Truckdriver rodeo on the hip? All in a days work at CoC.
Picturesque Canadian backdrops, check. Also got the tail grab.
Superman frontflip and a double backflip. I guess that is a good warmup trick.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s update from Freeskier / 4FRNT week here at Camp of Champions where we bring you behind the scenes of the 4FRNT team night shoot.
