The third stop of the 2025 Freeride World Tour has been confirmed for Friday, February 7. After a pow-filled comp in Val Thorens, France, the FWT crew is heading across the pond to Canada. With Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, British Columbia playing host to the event, Stop Three is going to be an epic ride.

The Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro has been a stop on the Tour since 2018, and it’s never disappointed. The iconic Ozone face will once again welcome riders, as cold temps and consistent snow have put the venue in ideal condition and created a stable snowpack.

You might remember a few features on the face, such as the Rodney Pyramid, where Max Hitzig punted one of the most insane backflips we’ve ever seen. The Ozone offers an incredible blend of terrain. It could be considered true freeride terrain thanks to its blend of enticing lips and cliffs mixed with steep, technical big mountain skiing.

We’ll also get to see Parkin Costain in the starting gate of the Tour for the first time. The Montana ripper has put on a clinic in Kings and Queens of Corbet’s more than once, as well as compiled several impressive segments with Teton Gravity Research over recent years. Costain was awarded a Wildcard for Stop Three just a few days ago. We can’t wait to see the line he puts down in Golden.

The Ozone face at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is one of the most dynamic venues on the Freeride World Tour, with 324 meters of vertical drop and a maximum gradient of 44 degrees. The terrain blends big mountain and freestyle elements, giving riders the freedom to choose their approach.

The venue naturally divides into two zones. The looker’s right is steep and technical, with cliffs, chutes, and complex lines suited for big mountain specialists. The looker’s left features a massive cornice ridge, offering the perfect platform for freestyle tricks, spins, and stylish airs.

Among Ozone’s most iconic features is the Sasaki Pyramid, where Max Hitzig made history with a spectacular backflip. Will another rider take on the challenge this year? FWT Commissioner Laurent Besse said, ‘Ozone is one of the most aesthetic venues of the whole Tour,’ highlighting its mix of technical difficulty and creative freeriding.” – FWT Stop Three Press Release

The action kicks off on the FWT livestream just before 9 AM MST on Friday, February 7. FREESKIER will be live on the scene, bringing you updates from the field on our social feeds. Stay tuned!
