The Freeride World Tour 2009 came to an end with an amazing fourth stage and grand finale: the Nissan Xtreme – Verbier. Frenchman Aurélien Ducroz, a Dynastar skier, became the 2009 Freeride World Champion with a incredible victory on the Bec des Rosses.

Reine Barkered, the Swedish Dynastar skier who won in Squaw Valley, took 2nd in the Verbier Xtreme and as well as 2nd place in the overall Freeride World Tour.

In the women’s competition, Norwegian Dynastar skier, Ane Enderud, dominated and became the Freeride World Champion.

And last but not least, Raphi Gillioz, a Swiss Dynastar skier from Verbier, took 3rd at the Verbier Xtreme — just behind Reine and Aurélien.

Dynastar athletes, on Legend skis filled the podium in Verbier and won 2 World Champions titles! Congratulations to our athletes and thank you for your commitment, your passion, performance and true talent.

AURELIEN DUCROZ:
2009 FREERIDE WORLD CHAMPION & WINS VERBIER XTREME!

Aurélien Ducroz lead the overall standings before the stage in Verbier, brought honor to his “Golden Bib” with a historic run. The windblown Bec des Rosses face, with 55° slopes, was tougher than usual. Aurélien, on his Legend Pro Rider skis chose a really challenging line.

After his podiums at the Nissan Russian Adventure (2nd) and the Nissan Tram Face in Squaw Valley (3rd), Ducroz was victorious in Verbier. Like his winning run in 2006, he revealed his mastery and ease on such steep slopes. Very emotional at the awards ceremony, Aurelien claimed his spot as the discipline leader. After 3-years, he finally clinched the World Champion Title that he truly deserves.

Raphi Gillioz (SUI), Verbier mountain guide and head of the ski patrol in the Mont Fort area mesmerized the huge crowd that gathered at the Col de Gentianes to admire the 14th edition of this legendary competition. By choosing the central line, of which he alone knew the secrets, he climbed to the third step of the podium.

Dynastar filled the podium! Great results and exciting for the Mont Blanc brand that is a pioneer in freeride ski development; a brand fully commited to the freeride discipline and a reference in the ski industry with the Legend series.
