Faction Skis, Dragon Alliance team up with Japanese artist Kengo Kimura for a limited edition collaboration

Verbier-based ski company, Faction Skis, and leading eyewear and accessories brand, Dragon Alliance, just dropped a limited edition collaboration collection featuring the work of Japanese artist, Kengo Kimura. Faction will be offering limited edition Prodigy 3.0 skis-one of the company’s most versatile all-mountain shredders—and Dragon will offer its X2 goggles with a strap hand-drawn by Kimura himself.

As Faction notes in the press release, “Kimura, the artist behind the collaboration, has stated that the culture of ‘Yokonori’ (riding sideways) inspired him to pick up his brush. Coming from Niigata, Japan, the natural forms and lines Kimura makes riding powder in the surrounding forests are transferred to his canvases: skateboards, snowboards and skis. Kimura’s curiosity for the mystical spirits that live in these mountains brings hypnotic figures and elemental detail into his artwork that will leave you mesmerized.”

Realizing that skis and skiing accessories are not just gear to wear, but an opportunity to showcase “art in motion that’s built to last,” Faction and Dragon are manufacturing equipment that speaks to skiers on a multitude of levels. In this collaboration, there will be a limited number of customized Faction Prodigy 3.0 skis and Dragon X2 goggles available to own. By the looks of it they’re going to be snatched up fast, so hit the link below to cop yours today.
