Sharing the same good fortuned weather that the pipe jocks had, the slopestyle men and women spent the morning figuring out the tricky course. Two main characteristics stood out about the course: Long and Flat. A whopping eight features, this could be one of the longest slopestyle courses on record. Many athletes hinted that the jumps were a bit small and flat, so some adjustments will most likely be made to the takeoffs tonight.
But make no mistake, whatever the course looks like, the athletes will slay. With X Games medalists like Andreas HÃ¥tveit, TJ Schiller, Jossi Wells, Kaya Turski, Grete Eliassen, Bobby Brown, Sammy Carlson and co. the slope course here in Tignes Val Claret doesn’t stand a chance. Thehe slope comps don’t start until Thursday, so it gives the athletes ample time to get used to whatever the park crew changes on the course.
Mark your calendars, Friday the 12th could see some of the more technical slopestyle runs ever put together. As sunshine should be the prevailing weather, it’ll be up to the athletes to make the most of a sunny competition.
