The Winter X Games, the premier winter action sports event in the world, will be held January 24-27, 2008 from Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado. The annual event features athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the following sports: Skiing, Snowboard and Snowmobile. January 22-23 will serve as practice and elimination days. All Winter X Games competitions will take place at the resortÂ’s Buttermilk Mountain. Winter X Games 12 will air live on ESPN and ABC and will feature nighttime events. The event will remain at Aspen/Snowmass through 2010, for a total of nine consecutive years (2002-2010).

Winter X Games 11 Results

Across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2, Winter X Games 11 was the most-viewed ever among several key demos, including Men & People 12-24, Men 12-17, Men 12-34, and Men 18-34. In addition, ESPN averaged 734,000 households in prime time – its most-viewed Winter X average ever. Also, Men 18-24 displayed the biggest growth in impressions among all demos from 2006, up 64%.On the final day of Winter X Games 11, the Sunday primetime telecast (1/28/07) was ESPN’s most-viewed telecast in Winter X Games history with 925,377 households and the highest-rated Winter X Games telecast since 1997.

On ESPN.com, ESPN360.com and the newly enhanced EXPN.com, fans viewed a record number of Winter X Games videos online, more than two million highlights, interviews, and original features viewed in the week from January 24-29 – more than doubling 2005. Additionally, fans logged more than three million page views on EXPN.com alone over the same period.
