Empire Welcomes Sarah Burke to the Team

It’s quite possible that the busiest week of the competitive year is the one week that all eyes descend upon Aspen, CO for the Winter X Games. Empire Attire took time out of its busy schedule to gather its athletes, most of who are competing this week. Team luncheons are nothing new, but team luncheons to welcome freeskiing pioneer and women’s skiing icon Sarah Burke to the team, is anything but ordinary. Sarah joins Simon Dumont, Peter Olenick, Jossi Wells, Colby West, Candide Thovex and Henrik Harlaut on the nascent glove company.

And as Empire gathered its athletes to welcome Sarah and thank everyone for their support, the company took the opportunity to unveil a collaboration with Rockwell watches — where each athlete received a custom Empire / Rockwell watch with their names engraved as a thank you. The word from the company is that all you consumers should keep your eyes peeled for collaboration watches in the near future.

And as quickly as the team gathered in a merry manner, the gathering was over and the normal hustle and bustle of X Games life continued. Sarah Burke has since gone on to qualify for Women’s Superpipe finals, in search of her 4th straight gold medal there, and the rest of the team continues to train for this weekend’s festivities.

Check Empire Attire in the future for news on the Empire and Rockwell collabo watches.
