Early Snowfall Blankets Colorado

Early Snowfall Blankets Colorado

It’s only the first day of fall, but Colorado is already getting pounded with snow.

Across the state, from Aspen to Winter Park, snow has been falling since Sunday, and forecasts call for up to 16 inches through Wednesday night.

A-Basin and Loveland have also pulled out their snow guns and started to pump the hills full of snow. Whether it’s El Niño, La Niña or Global Warming, the fact remains that we are getting substantial snowfall… and it’s only September.

The snowmakers at Loveland have been hard at work over the past 24 hours by taking advantage of the near freezing temperatures and making A LOT of snow.

Not to be outdone by their rivals, A-Basin turned on 16 guns yesterday.

Opening day hasn’t been set yet but if conditions like these continue we might be skiing in a matter of weeks!
