DPS Limited Edition Swedish Wailer 112RP

SALT LAKE CITY- (April 9, 2010)-DPS Skis announces the launch of a limited edition ‘Swedish’ Wailer 112RP. The Swedish Edition Wailer 112RP is exclusively available during the DPS pre-order which runs until May 1, 2010. The pre-order allows customers to lock in the ski (s) of their choice with a deposit, while also securing 15 percent off next year’s prices—the best pricing of the coming 2010/11 season.

The Swedish Edition Wailer 112RP features the colors of the Swedish flag. As a pair, one ski will come in Swedish blue (with yellow elements), and the other ski will come in Swedish yellow (with blue elements).

“DPS has a dedicated following in Sweden and the limited edition Wailer 112RP is one way of saying thank you,” said Philip Drake, DPS Skis marketing director. “DPS is committed to the vibrant Scandinavian freeride scene. We’re also thrilled with the Wailer 112RP—it’s a game changer.”

The Swedish Edition Wailer 112RP release coincides with the Wailer 112RP launch. The Wailer 112RP bridges the gap with a shape that combines the loose and early planing feel of a fully rockered ski with aggressive sidecut and slight camber underfoot. It’s a one-ski quiver for planing untracked in the morning, laying trenches down to the lift on the groomed, and slaying crud in the afternoon. A 16m radius underfoot and great torsional stiffness allow for maximum versatility, while the rockered and tapered tips and tail allow the Wailer 112RP to get loose and be driven from the ball of the foot in deeper snow.

“The Swedish Edition graphics are sweet—and it doesn’t hurt that they appear on such a remarkable ski,” remarked Drake.

All DPS 2010/11 skis, including the Swedish Edition Wailer 112RP, are available now for pre-order on dpsskis.com. Custom color choices on Pure skis are free until April 18. The Swedish Edition is available until May 1, 2010—and then no longer. The pre-order runs until June 7, 2010. The DPS pre-order gives the best savings on all 2010/11 skis, including the much talked about Wailer 112RP, the new Women’s line, and the introduction of S.S. technology.

This will be the largest price discount for the coming 2010/11 season. A $500 deposit for Pure skis, and a $300 deposit for Hybrids is all it takes.
