Salt Lake City-based headwear manufacturer announces Whistler-based, Sean Collin to its athlete roster for the 2011/2012 season.
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 7, 2011 – Discrete Sport, LLC, a rider owned and conceived headwear brand in the winter sport industry, is proud to announce the addition of Sean Collin to their athlete program. Equipped with a bolstering bag of tricks, he is ready to showcase Discrete and make a solid addition to the athlete team.
Sean’s background of moguls skiing at Squaw Valley has given him the ability to ski anything in front of him. He is a strong halfpipe competitor, qualifying and competing in the Winter Dew Tour and ending the season with at the AFP world championships. Sean spent the winter in New Zealand training. He won the Electric quarter pipe competition at Snow Park getting a great start for the upcoming season.
Sean’s smooth west coast style flows down backcountry lines popping left and right spins off massive cliffs and natural lips. “This is my first year doing big mountain comps and I hope I can make and impact on the scene by skiing creative lines spinning both ways in difficult places.”
Sean will be based in Squaw Valley for the winter. Competition schedule for 2011/2012 is starting off Pre Qualified for the U.S. Sprint Grand Prix Halfpipe at Copper CO. Then first stop of Dew Tour in Breckenridge, shortly fallowed by the final to stops in Killington VT and Snow Basin UT. Sean will then, wrap up the halfpipe season with the AFP Championships in Whistler Canada. In between the halfpipe madness, Sean will be taking a shot at the Freeskiing World Tour competing in Revelstoke in January and the Kirkwood FWT stop in February.
