For the second year in a row, POC athlete, Daniel Dhers, captures AST Dew Tour BMX Park Cup title. Last Saturday, in Orlando, Florida marked the final stop of the 2008 Dew Tour. Dhers, who won the four previous tour stops, took second at the Playstation PR securing the overall lead in BMX Park standings to lock up the title of 2008 Dew Tour BMX Park Champion.
During Saturday’s competition, Dhers pulled out all the stops with a regular and invert 720, double whips, a frontflip, and his first flair whip in competition to hold his overall tour lead.
“This has really been an awesome season for me,” remarks Dhers. “I am stoked with all of my results, not only on the Dew Tour, but at the summer X-Games as well. I couldn’t have asked for better results or stronger support from my sponsors this year.”
Dhers, 23, was born in Caracas, Venezuela and spends half his year training at one of the top BMX facility in the world, Camp Woodward in central Pennsylvania. He came onto the competitive BMX Park scene 3 years ago. His unwavering dedication has lead to continual victories and a steadfast reputation as a top competitor in the BMX world.
Dhers wears POC’s new Receptor Flow helmet, a more ventilated and lightweight bike helmet. The helmet features POC’s advanced shell with an EPS liner, similar to the Receptor + helmet. The adjustment system provides a simple way to customize the fit, allowing the helmet to stay comfortably place.
