Day 2 of the Candide Invitational 6 wasn’t quite as nice as yesterday, to say the least. With 30 cm or so already fallen of a projected 50-60 cm, it has definitely put a hold on the frenchman’s superpark. Winds have shut down the upper parts of the resort as well. This area hasn’t seen much snow in the last two months, so it is much needed from a resort standpoint, but a little bummer for the participants.
Despite being a bummer for most, a lot are using the day as a much needed day of rest in their busy seasons, with some skiers braving the elements to ski some french pow. At this current time, the snow is continuing to fall unabated, and hopefully it will let up for the skiers to crush the features that Candide has built. Candide is still going forward on treating the riders to meals and exclusive parties, showing that his invitational isn’t one-dimensional and all about the riding.
Stay tuned for information on how tomorrow’s weather treats the event.
