In golf tournaments, Saturday is known as moving day. In our contest it is Sunday. Yesterday, Colby West got the majority of the votes with Mike Riddle and Jossi Wells close on his heels. Colby almost overtook Mike Riddle on the leaderboard and Jossi Wells is inches from leaping over Andreas Håtveit. You guys did much better yesterday, with just over 50% of you getting the right answer. But the right answer – the Jon Olsson SuperSession – means the wrong answer for Colby West and Andreas Håtveit. Neither of those two has joined 4FRNT. Jeremy Piguet of France got the right answer and won the daily prize so he may be feeling pretty good about his guess – are you?
The abrupt departure of Colby and Andreas (as well as Sammy Carlson, Simon Dumont, Jacob Wester, Henrik Harlaut and Oscar Scherlin) has shaken up the leaderboard and narrowed your choices a bit. Mike Riddle continues to lead the overall voting, but Jossi Wells has moved into second, Jen Hudak is in third and the flying Finns, Kalle Leinonen and AJ Kemppainen take up the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. I assured you that yesterday’s question would knock out one or more of the riders and help you close in on the answer — or throw everything into chaos. Which is it? Today’s question takes a cue from the Spyder clothing ad campaign this year and looks at the number of degrees of rotation that were in this rider’s ‘spinningest’ US Open or Orage European Open run (whichever is greatest). This question will give you a chance to go and relive those moments by finding video of these two events so that you can narrow this whole thing down.
To recap, at this point we know that this rider has proven him or herself by being on the podium 9 or more times this season, is between 17 and 23, is a slope/pipe athlete, does not incorporate a Whiskey Flip into his or her pipe run and is a virtual lock to finish in the top-5 against X-Games caliber talent but did NOT attend the Jon Olsson SuperSessions.
