Well, well, I guess this guy or girl is a player – finishing in the top-5 consistently while going up against X-Games caliber talent. Who is it? Do you feel like you are getting any closer. Your votes indicate that you think you are. Mike Riddle, Andreas HÃ¥tveit, Colby James West, Jossi Wells and Jen Hudak are getting the majority of the votes with Americans Sammy Carlson and Sean Field and Finnish sensations AJ Kemppainen and Kalle Leinonen gaining some steam. Barak Obama appeared today but he certainly will not win the nomination in this race. As for the answer to yesterday’s question, you did slightly better than the day before at 20% but that means that 80% of you still underestimated the talent level of this rider. One person who did not was Jamie Robinson, who walked away with yesterday’s prize. In order to get you to think harder about today’s question, we are increasing the daily prize for today to a fleece lined zip hoodie. This may not be great for summer, but you will really appreciate it in the fall. So, give your answer for today a lot of thought and you may be sporting a new hoodie by day’s end.
The leaderboard stayed relatively consistent yesterday with Mike Riddle, Andreas HÃ¥tveit, Jen Hudak, Colby James West and Jossi Wells rounding out the top 5. All of these riders have certainly defeated their fair share of X-Games athletes. So have a few names that are not on the leaderboard. I guess we need more information, so today let’s explore how many times this rider stood on the podium this season. Did he or she happen to have one or two good showings and beat this X-Games talent in one shot or did he or she do it consistently all season long? There is more at stake today, so think about this one carefully. Pull together all those old posts on comp results and you’ll increase your odds of winning significantly.
To recap, at this point we know that this rider is between 17 and 23, is a slope/pipe athlete, does not incorporate a Whiskey Flip into his or her pipe run and is a virtual lock to finish in the top-5 against X-Games caliber talent. Now, is this rider on the cusp of breaking through or is he or she already there? To answer the question for Day 6, click here.
