Boreal Mountain Resort to open on Friday, November 1 with four terrain park features

Boreal Mountain Resort, located near Truckee, California, will be the first resort in California to open on Friday, November 1. The Nugget chairlift will start spinning at noon, and the resort will offer one run that has four terrain park features. Boreal will re-evaluate the conditions that afternoon to determine the operating schedule moving forward. Lift tickets will be $20 for all ages.

Boreal Mountain Resort is offering a small taste of winter on Friday, November 1 with skiing and riding beginning at noon off the Nugget chairlift. Boreal will offer one run with a four terrain park features. Our crews will re-evaluate the conditions Friday afternoon and determine the operating schedule for the following days. Over the past few days, Boreal received over 16 inches of natural snow. Dedicated resort snowmakers fired up the snow guns on Sunday, October 27. Conditions permitting, Boreal will continue to make snow and expand terrain coverage. An early-season terrain park will showcase four features. Early season conditions will exist and no beginner terrain will be available at this time. Skiing and riding will be on advanced terrain only.

This Friday, lift tickets are $20 for all ages and all 2013-14 Boreal Season Passes are valid. Season pass holders who have not picked up their passes may do so at the Boreal Base Lodge beginning at 10:00am Friday, November 1.

The Boreal Lodge will be open for ticket sales, lunch, après, rentals, guest service, retail and restrooms.
