This winter season Big White Ski Resort announces one of it’s earliest openings in the mountains 50-year history – Saturday, November 16, 2013. “With nearly 100cm of snow falling at Big White already, a 68cm base, and more snow predicted later this week, we’re all pretty excited up here on the mountain,” commented Michael J Ballingall, Senior Vice President. To celebrate being the first resort to open alpine skiing and snowboarding in BC, Big White will be offering their lift tickets, rental equipment, and lessons at half price on opening day.

Not only is the mountain open two weeks in advance, but those who stay between opening day and December 19, 2013 will enjoy some of the best early season skiing absolutely free. New for Families: The new “Loose Moose Emporium” is an extension of Big White’s world famous Kids Centre. New for Foodies: Bringing the luck of the Irish to Big White, The Blarney Stone, will be opening at The Inn at Big White this winter season.
