Big Sky Resort adds five new gladed runs on Andesite Mountain

BIG SKY, Mont. — Big Sky Resort is expanding its gladed tree runs by adding five new ski trials with 20+ acres of new terrain that will open on Andesite Mountain for the 2011/2012 winter season.

Big Sky Resort offers 5,532 skiable acres with the Biggest Skiing in America lift ticket.  The new trails will be accessible off of Ramcharger Chairlift, a high speed quad that runs from the Mountain Village base area to the top of Andesite Mountain.

“The beauty of being a part of the Biggest Skiing in America is that there are endless possibilities in terms of terrain” said Mike Unruh, Big Sky Resort’s Mountain Manager.  “The amount of land here is massive, and we’re always looking for opportunities to grow and make the most of it. These new runs on Andesite are going to make for truly exceptional glade skiing.”

The new trails will include Wolf Den (Black Diamond), located in between Mad Wolf and Elk Park Ridge, Shady Chute (Double Black Diamond) and a yet unnamed Blue Square run through the Peru and Bolivia territory, and Congo Line (Blue Square) and Madagascar (Blue Square) below Congo.
