Last year's Big Air on Elk was such a huge success that when Colorado FreeSkier was asked to bring it back for 2011 Spring Break they unquestionably said YES! With Freeskier Magazine coming on board to cover the event, this year's festivities will no doubt be bigger, better and more unique.

On the evening of Saturday March 12th, Elk Avenue in downtown Crested Butte will be transformed into a terrain style jump for a night time big air competition where athletes will be towed into the jump by snowmobiles. Downtown will come alive with the event synonymously known as the 4th of July of the winter, with music, ticketed giveaways, Big Air Tees for sale all benefiting the Crested Butte Ski Club.

Athletes like Tanner Coulter, Christian Allen, Dave Zweig, and last year's winner Aaron Blunck will all be competing for this years Big Air on Elk 1st place, cash prize, and bragging rights.
