Leaders from the Mountain Collective Resorts have joined together to create the ‘Truly Ultimate Vacation” package to be auctioned off, with proceeds benefitting the Shane McConkey Foundation. Bidding is now open to supporters online and will close on March 29 at 6 p.m. PST. The top three online bids will earn the right to partake in the final live auction—emceed by Roy Tuscany of the High Fives Foundation—taking place at the McConkey Gala on March 29. The three finalists will be connected to the ongoings via web.
The ‘Truly Ultimate Vacation’ package includes private air transportation, premier accommodations, lift tickets, and ground transportation for four people to any of the six Mountain Collective Resorts. “Putting these legendary mountains together with private air travel will make for what we think will be a phenomenal package all in support of the McConkey Foundation and in celebration of Shane’s life and spirit,” said Andy Wirth, president and CEO of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows in a release.
The auction is a great way to kick off 2013 Pain McShlonkey Classic, which goes down March 30. This year, the event will help benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District’s environmental education programs.
