Widely known as “The Pretzel Man,” Tom Wallisch is among the most successful, stylish and popular freeskiers in the game. The now 27-year-old—originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania—has claimed everything from a Level 1 Superunknown title, to X Games gold, to Dew Tour championships, jaw-dropping film segments, and so much more. After an unfortunate knee injury sustained last year, T-Wall battled back to compete at X Games Aspen, the Air + Style big air event in Los Angeles, California; and filmed throughout the season with his Good Company crew.
Wallisch recently shared his personal favorite Instagram moments of the 2014-15 season with us. From his first day back on planks, to signing with Line Skis and an all-time park shoot with his GoPro teammates, Wallisch’s comeback season was stacked with greatness. It’s good to have you (and your perfect landings) back, Tom.

The ‘Grams
This was one of the happiest days of my season. This photo was taken on my first day back on snow after six months of ACL surgery rehab. It was the longest break from snow I’ve had in over ten years. I was definitely really, really stoked. It was such an amazing feeling, even just cruising groomers.
After months of discussion I finally decided on a new ski sponsor, Line Skis. This was a huge moment for me, as I was finally able to announce the news to the world and get to work designing awesome skis with a company that is truly dedicated to our sport. It was an added bonus to have a chance to shred Stubai Glacier in Austria with a great group of guys, re-learning a lot of my tricks after many months off snow.
I had the opportunity to go back to my home in Pennsylvania to ski twice this season. It was awesome to be back on the East Coast shredding like the old days. During the first trip, we filmed for an awesome video piece that was aired on ABC and ESPN2 about my ski career, as well as our new film Good Company “One”. Per usual, Shay Williams slayed it on this sequence shot.
Shaun White’s Air + Style invited skiers to compete in a big air contest for the first time this season. The massive jump was setup right outside of the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. Although it rained all weekend, it was still an amazing experience to ski in Los Angeles. Also, a sunset in the background of a big jump never hurts.
This photo is from the last trip of my winter season. GoPro brought all of its ski and snowboard athletes together to capture some sick footage and teach us more about the camera. We had three days of perfect weather with an absolutely amazing park setup. This was definitely some of the most fun I had all season. I had so many good times this year, and I’m ready for more to come.
